Do different colored headlights scare deer off the road?

I've heard that having blue or green running lights on your car will scare deer from the road and prevent deer strike accidents. Anyone else know about this?Do different colored headlights scare deer off the road?
Not to my knowledge. When a deer starts to cross a road, it is the lights from the oncoming vehicle that causes the deer to halt. Some people used to go ';spotlighting';: Driving at night and shining a spotlight into the woods. When a deer is spotted, it freezes in its tracks and stands still. It it is done just to see deer, no harm done. But when it is done by poachers, it is illegal, as the shoot the standing still deer. Blue or green lights reduces the illumination, but still emits enough light to ';freeze'; the deer.Do different colored headlights scare deer off the road?
No, deer are color blind.

Deer freeze up because headlights instantly destroy their night vision. They stay still trying to get it back.

Stand in a dark room for about 10 minutes then turn a flashlight on directly in your face. Same principal.
