How do you raise an infant deer?

I have a 3 or 4 day old deer, and i have no idea what i am doing. How do you raise an infant deer?
Get a bag of milk replacer from the local feed store. They have one that you can use for sheep, cows and horses...get that one. Buy the plastic 2 quart calf bottle and a sheep nipple, and you are good to go.

Visit the link below and find a wildlife rehibilitator in your state that will give you instructions on how to care for it.

Our neighbors have taken in elk, antelope and deer babies. Most survived either by bottle feeding or adopting a new mom, either a cow, mare, sheep or goat. Handling is always limited because of time constraints, and hay and creep feed is offered...because as wild animals, they come and eat it anyway.

When they get old enough to notice others of their species across the fence, they usually hop over the fence and join a roving herd.

We have one buck elk that comes back every year as he passes from Spring to Winter pasture. He has a scar on his shoulder, so he is easily identifiable. He stops in for a drink from the water trough and some hay, then he heads out.

Anyway, you will most likely be able to care for it if you live in a rural area. If it is on your condo patio...then they will probably not let you keep in.

Anyway, good luck with the baby. They are a lot of fun.How do you raise an infant deer?
Where did you get it? If you just found it then you should have left it there. They hide in the grass while there moms are out looking for food. Though it is probably too late to put it back. You need to call an animal rehabilitater. There is no way you can raise it yourself.
Get some milk replacement powder made for farm animals. If not call a wild life center for advice, but if you plan to keep it for sometime I would suggest you get a wildlife permit so you don't have trouble with the law. Deer can be very gentle I've heard of a guy who found a newborn fawn on his door step with the umbilical cord still attached, he raised it and since she couldn't go back into the wild she became a house hold pet.
call the game and fish department

It is illegal in all 50 states to harbor a fawn without a license.Until the game warden arrives to pick up the fawn you can give it some sheep milk replacer or thinned goats milk.
Call the DNR of your state. Many states consider the wild life property of the state thus making it illegal for you to OWN wildlife so to speak. And it is a wild animal. Key word is wild. Not a pet. Plus calling the DNR will be better equipt to rehab that deer and get it back into its own world.
yes! you should have left it. Mother deer hide their young and come back to retrieve them later after they have eaten. PLEASE don't pick up wildlife... You can not raise this animal on your own. Call a local wildlife rehab, although most cannot take them.
