How come Deer can live longer than humans when shot in the heart?

When shooting humans in the heart, they either die instantly or die withing seconds.

When you shoot a deer in the heart, He can run off for several meters. Why is this? How come Deer can live longer than humans when shot in the heart?
Humans don't die instantly- a man shot in the heart can still live for seconds, possibly over a minute (source: the military).

A deer can run for a while with it's hear blown out also- mainly because of adrenaline. If you just shot it, and sit down, it will die soon, when you stand up and start yelling about what a big one you got... you will be tracking him for the next two hours. How come Deer can live longer than humans when shot in the heart?
Saturn has the same thought I did.

How many people have you shot in the heart to compare?

If you're comparing with what you see in the movies, then there's your answer. It's the movies.
Because the deer has been shot AT the heart, not INTO the heart. If it's running after it's been shot, then the bullet didn't hit its heart.
deer are way stronger than humans they fight hard to keep alive
